Who are we?
•Butterfly Rock Golf Cub is based in Hua Hin and its primary purpose is to provide competitions for our members at various courses around Hua Hin. •The philosophy of our society is to nurture fellowship between members (permanent or semi-permanent residents) through golf events and social activities. •In line with the Mission Statement, BRGC offers a minimum of one golf event most weeks (and get away trips throughout the year), plus other special events. •Weekly events are open to members and guests. •Events are published on the BRGC Calendar with an approximate two months look-ahead. •Monday’s competitions rotate around other golf clubs in the area. •Players must book online, with a 24 hour cut-off for all Hua Hin Clubs except for Majestic Creek GC, which is a 48-hour cut-off |
Criteria for becoming a member
•In order to qualify as a Golf Society and meet the requirements of local clubs when granting discounted rates, members are required to be either full-time residents of Hua Hin or Cha- Am or long-term residents (living a minimum of six out of twelve months a year in the area –these months do not need to be consecutive).
•To demonstrate they comply, prospective members will be asked to produce one of the following documents •Copy of Passport •Current Thai Driving License •Valid Retirement Visa ( "O" "E" or "B" Visa ) |
Joining Process
•Typically, new members are proposed or invited by existing members.
•However, anyone who meets the membership criteria may email the Committee ([email protected]) or use the Contact Us on the website. •Prospective members are required to: •Attend an interview with the Membership Secretary •Complete the membership application form •Provide evidence that you meet the criteria for permanent or long-term residence •Submit the application form, copy of evidence and a photograph to the membership secretary. •Play three games with a nominated member of BRGC •Pay your joining fee and annual subscription •The committee reserves the right to decline any membership application where the golfer does not meet the criteria or does not comply with the BRGC Code of Conduct. |
When you are accepted as a member
•You will receive a “getting started” orientation from a committee member or an existing member of the club.
•Your membership card will be issued to you •Bring it to every event –you may be asked to prove you are a member when paying your green fees •Familiarise yourself with BRGC Code of Conduct •Members have a responsibility to protect the reputation of BRGC and persistent breaches of the Code will result in the Committee taking action. •Society Operational Guidelines and Local Rules. •Information about preferred lies, etc. •You may now join any BRGC event as a full member |
