- Andrew provided financial report update and answered any questions. Started with 129,000 Bht, currently at 139,000Bht.
- Steve outlined the booking process for courses, which started in Sept/Oct of 2023. Our entire 2024 schedule is booked. Then outlined our 2024 special events and Majors. Also explained the new HM/True Handicap tie-in.
- 2024 AGM proposals were explained by their proposer, and then voted on by the Membership after discussions:
- Proposal 1: by Will/Ian – eliminate 2 Divisions and revert to a single division. Ian explained the background of the proposal and supported why they made this proposal by sharing some statistics collected over past BRGC events. After some discussion from members in attendance, the proposal was voted on. Votes for: 22 including 1 proxy vote; votes against: 16 - 13 including 3 proxy votes. Proposal was passed: 2024 events such as Stroke Play / Stableford will revert to 1 Division.
- Proposal 2: by Steve. He outlined the rationale for submitting this proposal noting that all players are required to remain for the prize presentations unless an absolute valid excuse is provided and informed to organizer of the day before the start of play. We all know that Monday is BRGC golf day, please book appointments accordingly. Prizes will not be held over for golfers missing the prize presentation, and instead, the golfer in the next position out of the prizes will be moved up.
NTP winner’s will forfeit their balls and will go back into the BRGC supply. 2’s winners who miss the prizes will forfeit their cash and it will be split amongst the remaining winners. If a player recorded a 2, and is the only player who stayed behind, they collect the 2’s prize money collected. If no 2 is recorded, the 50 B fee collected will be re-imbursed. Motion was voted on and carried unanimously.
3.Proposal 3: submitted by Cesare to increase comp fees to 300Bht. He explained the rationale which was followed by a request for a vote. A majority of the members did not approve of the increase in fee. We will continue to charge 200 B for our events and 50 B if a player wishes to participate in the 2’s.
- Meeting was adjourned at 15:42
